At the end of the process, you will be prepared to go into a permanent, junior cyber role.

Cerco FastTrack Training

It all starts right here at Cerco HQ with our renowned FastTrack training course.

FastTrack is an in-house, 5 day, hands-on course designed to teach the fundamentals of hardware maintenance, software / OS installation and network configuration. It prepares you for that crucial next step – work experience.

Best of all, Cerco's FastTrack is FREE to attend.

Please note that the course is FREE to attend but we do require an initial, one-off payment of £85 to cover the cost of Course Certification and a DBS Check .

Temporary Employment

On successful completion of your FastTrack training, we will onboard you as a Field Engineer and look to place you out to work with our employment partners.

Our employment partners operate in numerous sectors and offer a variety of roles. Typical roles include: Break-Fix engineering, EPOS Installation and 1st line support.

Fortinet NSE Training and Certification - Stage 1

At this stage we will invite you to join Fortinet's NSE training and certification program which constitutes the first phase of Cradle to Cyber.

The first stage of Cradle to Cyber will see you complete Fortinet Certified Fundamentals.

Fortinet Certified Fundamentals Badge

This is carried out online and is designed to fit comfortably alongside your employment.

In addition, we will provide some valuable research materials that will compliment your training with Fortinet.

Fortinet NSE Training and Certification - Stage 2

We will continually assess your progress with Fortinet’s Certified Fundamentals and after a period of time will invite you to extend your training into stage 2 through Fortinet Certified Associate. Typically, this can be after 6 months of working for us.

Fortinet NSE Training and Certification - Stage 3

With Fortinet Certified Fundamentals and Fortinet Certified Associate under your belt, we will look to develop your training further with Fortinet Certified Professional.
As a Cerco Cradle to Cyber trainee we will fully fund your training at this stage.

At this stage focus will switch to more advanced contract opportunities that are more relevant to Cyber Security. These roles could include; Network engineering, Data analysis or 2nd Line Support.

Note: Our employment partners may stipulate additional training. If necessary we are able to offer additional training, via our trusted training partner, to include certifications from CompTIA, ITIL, ISACA and Microsoft.

SOC Analyst

A SOC (Security Operations Centre) Analyst monitors systems to identify threats. The SOC Analyst will respond to alerts and carry out triage operations to determine an appropriate response. They also scan systems for vulnerabilities and manage an array of monitoring and reporting tools.
This is known as Security Incident and Event Management and there are many SIEM tools available to assist in this process.
SOC Analysis typically operates on 3 tiers with tier 1 being the most junior.
By tier 3, many of the disciplines associated with SOC Analysis borrow from those of the Penetration Tester and as such can provide the perfect entry into the world of Ethical Hacking.

Compliance Analyst

A Compliance Analyst (sometimes referred to as an IT Auditor) will assess an organisation’s technology for potential issues with security, efficiency and compliance. They will report on any issues that are discovered and advise on best practices. Compliance Analyst will always work to defined standards.

Network Security Engineer

A Network Security Engineer is purely focused on protecting a system from all known cyber threats, including bugs, malware, scams and hacking attempts. A key aspect to the role is research to stay abreast of developments in the world of cyber security.

Cloud Operations Analyst

The Cloud Operations Analyst is responsible for assisting in the management and monitoring of the cloud infrastructure. Their primary focus is on the smooth operation of cloud-based systems and services and have a keen eye on security therein.
